"The Jeans" Visit Chandler's Basha Library

We had tons of fun making coin purses and scarfs, we even had one teen make a cuff lined with bedazzled decorations! Basha library teens wanted to continue making jean crafts like jean purses (just cut the legs off and stitch up the bottom). We also had jean shaped cookies that flew off the rack :)

The Pants stop by Hamilton Branch.

Students from Hamilton dropped in to put their own touches on the pants and to wish them well on their trip! We also had jean-shaped cookies to decorate and devour.

Today we succesfully kicked off the Arizona Traveling Pants project at the downtown branch of the Chandler Public Library!

The teens had fun decorating Pants shaped cookies, making mp3 holders, leaving their mark on the traveling pants.

The cookies were dyed different shades of denim. Teens could choose from: Dark Rinse, Stone Washed, and Bleached. Teens could decorate with edible markers and gel icing.

Mp3 player holders were made out of the pockets of old jeans. Teens had a great time using the bedazzler and puff paint.

Pictures from our fantastic event can be found in the slideshow at the left.
